Today's Topic 07/30/13: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry opened the first direct talks between Israeli and Palestinian peace negotiators in three years over dinner Monday night at the State Department. Kerry, who has put peace talks between the two sides near the top of his agenda since taking office in February, says he hopes the two sides would approach the talks with open minds.
