NHK World TV - Dining with the chef - Special Cherry Blossom Edition: on-air May 31st in EDT and June 1st in UTC/HKT. Chef Tatsuo Saito introduces the art of Japanese cuisine with cherry blossom (Sakura) themed dishes. He introduces the art of making dashi stock, one of the most fundamental elements of washoku, and prepares a seasonal dish using pickled cherry blossoms. Chef Saito is also joined by the 2014 U.S. Cherry Blossom Queen.
