ABOUT NORTH TIER
The North Tier Partnership is a consortium of 15 school divisions in Northern Virginia and MHz NETWORKS, funded through an Enhancing Education through Technology Education Subgrant of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Public Law of 107-110. The Partnership is the recipient of a grant to provide professional development to instructional personnel (primarily teachers) in the successful integration of technology into instruction.

To this end, North TIER offers online professional development to Technology Integration Educators within the partnership’s geographic area.  Such educators may be professional Instructional Technologists, classroom or resource teachers, librarians, or administrators who encourage and mentor colleagues in the integration of technology into instruction through developing, implementing, and evaluating technology-infused lessons, units, and projects.  North TIER learning opportunities are also open to private schools in the districts listed below.
