North Tier offers quality online project- and standards-based courses.  Summer 2012 semester registration: May 29-June 22, 2012. Courses run: July 2-August 19, 2012

ONLINE LEARNING
North TIER sponsors its own North TIER-developed courses.  Classes vary from semester to semester.  North TIER offers administrators, teachers, library media specialists, Instructional Technology Resource Teachers (ITRTs), and other instructional staff a variety of online courses for recertification/renewal points and graduate credits through Colorado State University. Courses have a value of $200, but are offered for $50 per course for teachers in member districts and $125 per course for everyone else. Semesters run 3 times a year.

ABOUT NORTH TIER
The North TIER Partnership is comprised of 13 Northern Virginia School Systems, Germanna Community College, ETLO and MHz Networks. The partnership aims to provide professional development directly related to technology integration. Each course is comprised of seven project‐ and standards‐ based online sessions, with the first week being an orientation. An instructor trained and certified by EdTech Leaders Online facilitates each course, using a learning model that combines readings, videos, activities, and facilitated peer‐to‐peer collaborative discussions. The focal point of the course is online discussion and collaboration, where you can share your ideas, reflections, comments, and questions with your classmates.
