The Shortie Awards Announce Deadline Extension

WASHINGTON, DC- The film submission deadline for the 7th Annual Shortie Awards - Student Film & News Festival has been extended to April 11, 2008. The festival will take place on June 1 at The Documentary Center at The George Washington University, Washington, DC. 

Established in 2001, The Shortie Awards: Student Film and News Festival recognizes original digital media productions created by student filmmakers, ages 7-18 and their teachers. The Shortie Awards is an international film festival focused on nurturing imagination and choice making in students.
