Comcast Cable Announces New 10-Channel MHz Networks Local Line-Up

FALLS CHURCH, VA- MHz Networks launches its new 10-channel line-up on Comcast cable on Tuesday, April 14.

The new channel line-up and corresponding numbers are:

271      MHz Networks 1     MHz Worldview

272      MHz Networks 2     NHK World TV

273      MHz Networks 3     Metro Chinese Network (MCN)

274      MHz Networks 4     RT (formerly Russia Today)

275      MHz Networks 5     BVN

276      MHz Networks 6     South African Broadcasting Corporation News International (SABC)

277      MHz Networks 7     France 24

278      MHz Networks 8     Nigerian Televison Authority (NTA)

279      MHz Networks 9     Vietnam Television (VTV 4)

280    MHz Networks 10     Euronews/Instructional Television (ITV) (* ITV airs Tuesday-Saturday, 1-7 AM till May 15, 2009)

Because of the extension of the DTV deadline, cable carriage of the new ten channel line-up is able to transpire prior to the launch of the line-up via broadcast (OTA). This is due to an overlap of analog versus digital spectrum.
