THE SHORTIE AWARDS
The Shortie Awards

Welcome to the Shortie Awards: Film & News Festival - the premiere film festival for students ages 7 to 18 and their teachers!

Visit Shortie's website: http://www.shortie.org for the latest Shortie news and updates.

Established in 2001, The Shortie Awards: Student Film and News Festival recognizes original digital media productions created by student filmmakers, ages 7-18, and their teachers. The Shortie Awards focuses on nurturing imagination and choice making in students.

The Shortie Awards: Student Film and News Festival:

Every year Shortie celebrates student filmmaking and news programs with his very own festival awards ceremony. Shortie's best entries are viewed and the winners are announced. It is an exciting program that gives students and their teachers an opportunity to show off their work in a public venue.

This year the ceremony will be held in the theater of the Women In Military Service For America Memorial.  The festival is free, but reservations are strongly recommended.
To RSVP to the event, email with the number in your party and please specify if you are associated with a Shortie entry.

When: Sunday, May 23, 2010, 3:00PM - 5:30 PM.  Pre-festival activities begin at 2:00 PM.

Where: La Maison Francaise
