MHz runs instructional programming (ITV) at night for teachers to record and use in their classrooms.
Starting in the 2010-2011 academic year, MHz will broadcast ITV programming on a request-only basis. Requests will be broadcast on Wednesdays from 3 AM to 6 AM from September 8, 2010 – May 25, 2011. To request a program, please email
International Newscasts All teachers of foreign languages should take advantage of the daily international newscasts on MHz. MHz is the only station in the Metro area broadcasting over 20 newscasts from all over the world. Most of the newscasts are live, so the information is always up to date—perfect for current event discussions in your classroom. Newscasts from Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Spain make up MHz's daily lineup. Weekly magazine shows from countries including Germany, India, Ireland and South Africa air on all eight MHz channels.
