TG4 Newest Content Partner for Today's Ireland!

TG4 to launch four new weekly programs on Today's Ireland in July. Today's Ireland airs nationally on MHz Worldview, as well as on MHz Networks 1 in the Washington, DC metro area.

 

The programs include:

 

Comhrá - One of TG4’s most popular series has a deceptively simple format, a conversation between the host, award-winning broadcaster Máirtín Tom Sheáinín, and his studio guest.  Broadcast in Irish with English subtitles.  Sundays at 1PM ET on MHz Worldview and 5PM ET on MHz1.  

 

Timpeall na Tíre - A weekly compilation of  the main regional stories as seen on the channel’s evening news.  This is a people-led approach, highlighting how issues impact on the daily lives of Irish people around the country.  Broadcast Irish with English subtitles.   Sundays at 1:30PM ET on MHz Worldview and 5:30PM ET on MHz1.  

 

Sean Nós - Traditional singing from the Ireland’s favourite exponents of this acclaimed art-form.   Singer Síle Denvir meets and interviews some of the best known singer and chats to them about their songs, and their interest in the tradition.   Broadcast Irish with English subtitles.   Sundays at 2PM ET on MHz Worldview and 6PM ET on MHz1.    

 

Féilte - Slí an Atlantaigh - Síle Ní Bhraonáin, follows the Wild Atlantic Way route along Ireland’s rugged west coast, meeting locals and sampling the culture in the towns along the way.  Broadcast in Irish with English subtitles.   Sundays at 2:30PM ET on MHz Worldview and 6:30PM ET on MHz1.
