FALLS CHURCH, VA- WTVI, Charlotte's PBS station, will become the 28th national MHz Worldview affiliate on July 1.
The launch brings MHz Worldview programming to viewers in the Carolinas on WTVI. MHz Worldview programming can be viewed via digital broadcast channel 42.2 and also on Time Warner Digital Cable channel 175.
For more than 40 years, WTVI has been an essential community resource. The station has maintained this commitment by inspiring, educating, engaging and connecting viewers in its 13-county viewing area, which includes more than 1.1 million viewers, including the counties of Mecklenburg, Gaston, Lincoln, Rowan, Iredell, Stanly, Union, Anson, Catawba, Cabarrus, Cleveland in North Carolina and York and Lancaster in South Carolina.
WTVI offers local viewers programming on education, culture, and citizenship that celebrates the past, helps children start school ready to learn, intrigues the mind and that provides a trusted voice on public affairs.

MHz Worldview leads the way with the largest aggregation of international news presented on one national channel from the U.S., with news and magazine programs originating from prominent international broadcasters such as: Al Jazeera English, ANI, Deutsche Welle, euronews, France 24, IBA, MAC TV, NHK World TV and RT.
The MHz Worldview schedule is built around updated news, magazine and foreign affairs programming throughout the day, with blocks featuring global entertainment, sports and music in prime time.
A signature prime time MHz Worldview series, International Mysteries, feature the best super sleuths from around the globe including Detective Montalbano, La Piovra, Varg Veum, Scene of the Crime, Wallander, Maigret, Inspector Coliandro and more each Sunday evening.
