China News Channel Programming Launches on MHz 1 in D.C. Area

FALLS CHURCH, VA- Programming from China News Channel (CNC) launches April 14 on MHz Networks 1 in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

 

Various programs from CNC replace content from Metro Chinese Networks (MCN) at 1–3 PM ET on weekdays and also at 7-9 AM ET on weekends.

 

The weekday program block will be comprised of the CNC shows: World Perspective, Spotlight, World News, and Economy Report.

 

Weekend program blocks will feature CNC's Lifestyles, China View, World News, World Perspective and Global Visitor.

China Xinhua News Network Corporation (CNC) is a TV news network run by Xinhua News Agency, targeting overseas audiences.

 

CNC launched its first channel- CNC Chinese Channel- at the beginning of 2010. CNC World, a 24-hour English-language channel from which the MHz 1 programs originate, was launched later that year.

 

CNC’s correspondents are stationed in over 170 countries and regions.

 

In the D.C. area, viewers can watch CNC programs on MHz digital broadcast channel  30.1, Comcast 271, Cox 470, Verizon FiOS 451, RCN 30, Dish Network 8077, DirecTV 2183.
