FALLS CHURCH, VA - The Sikh Program, traditionally airing on MHz Networks 1 in the Washington, DC metro area, is on hiatus indefinately.
The program creates a better understanding of the Sikh heritage and culture through music and brief narratives. Songs in the show are sung in Punjabi, with English narration.
Tomorrow Today from Deutsche Welle will air in place of the program, typically broadcast on Saturdays at noon.

VTV America will launch on MHz 11 digital broadcast channel 30.11.
The national MHz Worldview channel will launch on MHz 12 on over the air channel 30.12
In order to receive these new channels, over the air viewers will need to manually re-scan their digital broadcast set top box and/or digital TV to recognize 30.11 and 30.12. Viewers should proceed with this process on August 1 when the new channels are available.

VTV America will feature Vietnamese, English, French, Russian and Chinese language television programming featuring Vietnamese culture, news, sports, educational, travel, business news, world news and general entertainment.

This maintenance impacts programs and channel availability to MHz Networks.
RT will be down for maintenance today, January 17, at 3 PM ET to tomorrow, January 18, at 1 AM ET.

FALLS CHURCH, VA- Held at La Maison Francaise in Washington, DC on May 23, The Shortie Awards, International Film & News Festival is a free film festival recognizing original digital media productions created by student filmmakers, ages 7-18, and their teachers. This year is the ninth annual festival.
Screening of films begins at 2 PM, with the awards ceremony beginning at 3 PM in the La Maison Francaise auditorium. The awards are co-hosted by recording artist Danni Rosner and musician Louis Fabrizi, who will also perform their newly-produced theme song for Shortie.

FALLS CHURCH, VA- With over 12 seasons of broadcast on MHz Networks, the Toyota Australian Football League Premiership returns in April for the 2010 season.
The first 2010 AFL match of the week will premier on Monday, April 5th at 9 PM ET nationally on MHz Worldview, and also on MHz Networks 1 (MHz Worldview DC). The first highlights show airs Friday, April 9th at 9 PM ET.

FALLS CHURCH, VA- Beginning in January, a library of Korean TV dramas and full-length films premier nationally on MHz Worldview.
The programs will air in Thursday night primetime.
The dramas, from YA Entertainment, include: The Grand Chef, I Love You, Someday, Alone In Love, and Freeze. Films include: Lover's Concerto, My Beautiful Days, My Little Bride, Peppermint Candy, Singles and Turning Gate.
FALLS CHURCH, VA- The world-renowned Doha Debates make their debut on MHz Worldview this January, at 11 AM ET on Sundays.
Televised eight times a year, the Debates are based on a centuries-old format, refined by the famous Oxford Union.
They focus on a single, controversial motion, with two speakers for and against. Once they have outlined their arguments, each speaker is questioned by the chairman and the discussion is then opened up to the audience for argument and a final electronic vote.
MHz Worldview airs the Gillette Four Nations Rugby competition, as the primary U.S. broadcaster of event.
The competition progresses each Saturday, ending with the final on November 14.

FALLS CHURCH, VA- MHz Networks launches several new programs this fall on its national channel MHz Worldview. Some schedule adjustments are also taking place to make room for the new content.
The most notable changes for September include the adjustment of the prime time evening block from 8 PM to 9 PM ET daily. This includes the International Mystery, AFL, Foreign Affairs, For the Family and Strictly Global evenings. The repeats of these blocks each evening will also move from 11 PM to 12 Midnight ET daily.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI & FALLS CHURCH, VA- WGVU launches on August 4 as the 23rd nationwide MHz Worldview affiliate.
MHz Worldview will be available to area viewers on digital channels 35/DT 11 (WGVU) and 52/DT 5 (WGVK) to the over 700,000 viewers of the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek market area.
