ABOUT

As a division of MHz NETWORKS, MHz Education provides important classroom resources and instructional programming in support of media and creative learning.

At its core, MHz NETWORKS is an educational organization, with long-standing partnerships with more than 500 schools in northern Virginia and Washington, DC. MHz Education supports educators through face-to-face and online staff development opportunities that align with national standards, while encouraging creativity and fostering intercultural understanding.

MHz Education also provides community instructional programming, original educational film curriculum and The Shortie Awards (an international student film festival, formerly known as the MHz Shortz Student Film Festival.) We are continuously looking at the future of new media and its impact on education.

In 2008, MHz Education will integrate the popular Education Arts Technology (EAT) program and website into the main MHz Education website. The same EAT workshops and tools (DVD & curriculum) are available here, on the new and improved education site. From here, you can also find out more about the Shortie Awards and go right to the new festival website. Please browse our links to the left for more detailed descriptions of our programs.

With a finger on the pulse of our digital age, MHz's aim is to help educators navigate this increasingly technological world.
